Christina Wiener is a third year Supply Chain Management major with a minor in marketing here at McCombs. She was an active member of TYF in the fall of 2013, an Ambassador in the fall of 2014, and is incredibly excited to come back this year as Program Manager.
This past summer Christina was a tactical procurement intern with Bell Helicopter in Amarillo. She worked in new project development in the V280 Valor program. Between workweeks she explored the western half of the US, and visited six different national parks including Pikes Peak in Colorado, Zion National Park, and both rims of the Grand Canyon. In the Summer of 2016 she will be working in strategic procurement with LyondellBasell in their Houston headquarters. She is also active as a Peer Coach in the BBA Career Services Office where she assists in resume editing, cover letter review, and planning career service events such as the biannual Career Fair.
Christina was born in Chicago, Illinois but was raised in the great city of San Antonio. Her passions include helping her brother plan his wedding, assisting other students in the recruiting process, and hiking.
Lauren Sanders is a fourth year Marketing major with a minor in Finance here at McCombs. She was a TYF participant in the Spring of 2013, served as a peer mentor for two semesters, and couldn’t be more excited to continue her new role this semester as program manager of leadership development.
This past summer Lauren held an internship with Dimensional Fund Advisors an asset management firm based out of Austin, TX. During her time there, she worked primarily on social media development and internal strategy. This opportunity allowed her to utilize both her academic background in marketing and interest in finance. Lauren’s additional internship experience includes Sterling Associates, a management-consulting firm in Houston, Texas. She participated in a rotational program to various non-profit organizations within the Houston area, focusing heavily on fundraising, strategy, and internal development. This experience solidified both her passion for business as well as her strong affinity towards philanthropic missions.
In the summer of 2014, Lauren studied International Marketing abroad in Paris, France through one of McCombs’s BBA Short-term programs. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and she enjoyed expanding her marketing knowledge through a unique cultural lens.
Lauren was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In addition to Target Your Future, Lauren has served as a philanthropy chair for her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, where in one year she helped raise over $65,000 towards Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Her passions include gluten-free baking, fashion, European travel, Tex-Mex, and snow skiing.
Amrita Chopra is a senior graduating in December 2015 with an Accounting and Economics degree and a minor in Management Information Systems. She is originally from India and moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 2009. After graduation Amrita plans to move to Chicago. She was a participant of the Target Your Future Program in Fall of 2013 and has been a mentor in the program for the past two semesters.
Currently, Amrita is interning at a Biotech firm in Austin, Luminex Corporation, as an Internal Audit Intern. She is also working as a teaching assistant for MIS 373 at McCombs. In the summer of 2015, Amrita interned with Crowe Horwath in the Regulatory Compliance business unit. She mainly dealt with Anti-money laundering projects during her internship period. Other than work, Amrita enjoyed beautiful summer days in Chicago and Door County, Wisconsin. Wine tastings and food festivals were the highlights of her summer.
Amrita embraces cold and enjoys snowboarding. She loves to hike and appreciates different art forms such as music, dance and sketching. After graduation she plans to take piano lessons.
Ryan Kimmell is a third year supply chain management major, with a minor in MIS, from San Antonio, Texas. Ryan began with Target Your Future as a participant in Fall 2013 and served as the Professional Mentorship Program (PMP) Coordinator for the Fall 2014 semester. This will be Ryan’s second semester as a peer mentor and he is excited to continue in this dynamic role.
This past summer Ryan worked as a procurement intern in the In-flight Entertainment and Communications group at the Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington. He enjoyed working closely with suppliers and improving processes while learning about the ever-complex aerospace industry. Outside of work you could find Ryan hiking around the Pacific Northwest, experimenting new ways to cook a salmon, and enjoying the cheapest seats he could find at Mariners games.
While at the University of Texas, Ryan has been involved with the McCombs Leadership Program, the University Securities Investment Team (USIT), and the Supply Chain Management Student Organization (SCMSO). Additionally, he has taken part in two case competitions and looks forward to many more before graduation. Ryan’s interests include sports, anything involving the outdoors, and watching the Longhorns dominate the Big XII.
Pooja Raman is a fourth year Finance major with a minor in MIS and a certificate in Sports Media. She was an active member of TYF in the spring of 2014, the PMP coordinator in the fall of 2014, the Public Relations coordinator in the spring of 2015, and has been a mentor since the fall of 2015.
This past summer Pooja was an HR Systems intern with Visa in Austin. She has also interned at Liberty Mutual in their Boston home office. Pooja currently works at the Renaissance Austin Hotel as a Front Desk Ambassador, where she has received numerous positive guest comments about her fun-loving attitude and detailed assistance.
Pooja was born in New Jersey and has lived in Louisiana and California before living in Round Rock, Texas for the past 11 years. Her passions include watching sports (mainly football - Go Giants!), eating desserts, and all types of dancing.
Zaid Reshamwala is a third year Finance major at the McCombs School of Business. He was an active Target Your Future participant during the Fall 2014 semester, and is extremely excited to return to TYF as a Peer Mentor this semester.
Zaid Reshamwala is a third year Finance major pursuing a track towards energy and corporate Finance. He was an active participant in the Target Your Future program in the fall of 2014 where he was introduced to the program through his BA 101 class. Zaid returned to TYF as a peer mentor in the spring of 2015, and is set to be a part of the leadership team again for the fall of 2015.
Over the past summer, Zaid completed an internship at Air Liquide US LP where he was working in the Electronics headquarters located in Dallas, TX. His title as an intern was Business Development & Product Management; and this role consisted of intense financial knowledge. Nevertheless, he also had the opportunity to work on accounting material as well as supply chain management material where he developed a unique set of skills. He also worked as a teaching assistant for a Physics course in the College of Natural Sciences where he guided underclassmen and helped them learn effectively.
Apart from work, Zaid is a big soccer enthusiast and enjoys cooking. He also loves adventures and is constantly on the look for exciting adventures. Zaid was born in the city of Mumbai, India and moved to the United States when he was in middle school. He has lived in various states in the US, and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. He is always looking to help people and give back to the community, and believes that there is no better way to help society than by fostering the future of the world.
Jon Philip Trujillo is a senior studying to receive a degree in Marketing and a minor in Spanish. He has previously been a mentor for TYF, First-Year Interest Groups, and the Sophomore Development Program. He currently serves as the marketing intern for the McCombs School of Business and a Social Dance teaching assistant.
During the spring semester of 2015, Jon spent 5 months studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. He traveled all throughout Europe taking weekend trips to different countries or visiting the many cities in Spain. He then spent his summer interning with Goldman Sachs in their Human Capital Management division in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he will return upon graduation.
Jon is from Natalia, Texas. During his free time, he enjoys dancing, going to Sonic, and hanging out with his friends. He plans to make his senior year one to forever remember.
Troy Gibbons is a third year MPA major from San Antonio, Texas. He was a TYF participant in the fall of 2014 and decided to stay because of the wonderful experience he had. He is excited for his second semester as a mentor and can’t wait to see what great things the mentees get out of the program.
This past summer Troy interned with a start-up company in Rome, Italy through an Internship Abroad Program. He had an incredible time learning how to work in a new culture and traveling all around Italy on the weekends. If anyone is curious about interning/studying abroad he will be happy to answer any questions and share his experience with you.
After college, Troy hopes to move to the east coast and continue to travel as much as possible. In his free time, Troy enjoys being around friends and family, hiking, and watching baseball.
Professional Mentor Program Coordinator
Kylie Wade is a second year unspecified business major at McCombs. She is interested in pursuing Supply Chain Management. Kylie was an active member of Target Your Future in the fall of 2014, an ambassador in the spring of 2015, and she is looking forward to continuing with the program as the Professional Mentor Program Coordinator.
Kylie spent her summer working as a Marketing Intern for POS Solutions. While there, she was able to develop her communication skills as well as her knowledge of the benefits a point of sale system can provide to restaurant and bar owners. She is an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and served as the Area Rush Captain while living in Austin this summer.
Kylie was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. In addition to TYF and KKG, Kylie is a member of the University Fashion Group. Kylie’s interests include travelling, event planning, and fashion. She hopes to further explore Austin during her sophomore year at UT.
Public Relations Coordinator
Ashley Zaroff is a third year student in the Integrated MPA Program here at McCombs. She was a participant in TYF in the spring of 2014, and an Ambassador in the fall of 2014 and spring of 2015. She is thrilled to be back this year as the Public Relations Coordinator.
This past summer Ashley participated in a mentorship program at Merrill Lynch and a leadership program at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She also traveled with family and friends to various cities in Italy, after being inspired to explore the world through her study abroad program in Edinburgh, Scotland the previous summer.
Ashley was born in California but raised in Austin, Texas and loves getting to go to school near her home. Her passions include traveling, indoor cycling, and Longhorn football.
Audrey Zuckerman is a third year marketing major with a minor in management information systems here at McCombs. She was an active member of TYF in the spring of 2015, and is thrilled to be back this semester as the program’s Connect Coordinator.
This past summer Audrey was a digital marketing intern with Career Onward in Austin, TX where she discovered her passion for web analytics and decided to pursue her minor in MIS. She is also an active member of the women’s Fraternity, Chi Omega where she serves on the philanthropy committee. She was also selected as a member of Chi Omega’s sisterhood support team, which gives her the privilege of mentoring the incoming freshman.
Audrey was born in Memphis, Tennessee but was raised in the home of the best basketball team in the world, the San Antonio Spurs. In her spare time, she loves watching the Spurs and the Longhorns win, spending time at the lake, and looking at instagram accounts of puppies.
