Visit the Austin Convention and Visitor's Bureau for information on lodging in Austin, and other visitor information. Please note that the university does not endorse any hotel or motel and clicking on the above link will take you outside the UT web.

Parking for Commencement activities is free in designated areas on a first-come, first-served basis. On Friday, May 19, 2017, University parking garages will be available as well as campus lots marked “C” Parking. The Health Center Garage located on Trinity Street will also be available. More information can be found here.

Garages are equipped with mobility impaired parking spots. If you are a guest with mobility impairment and find that the garage may be too far of a walk, there is a drop off location at Parking Lot 118 which is located on the North side of the building. You can access this lot by going south bound on the frontage road (refer to link to map). Once you arrive to the Frank Erwin Center usher staff will be available to assist with wheelchair seating. The entrance is on the north side of the building. Seating accessible by wheelchairs is reserved and is found in row 32 of selected sections on the arena level and in row 3 of selected sections of the mezzanine level. Usher staff will be available to assist in locating these seating areas.

Accessible seating cannot be reserved for Commencements.  Accessible seating is on a first come, first serve basis.  Please see a house manager or an usher when you arrive and let them know you need accessible seating.  Accessible seating is available on all levels.  Accessible seating is reserved for guests needing accessible seats plus one companion only.
