Texas McCombs MSTC Tuition

The cost for the entire one-year Texas McCombs MSTC Program is $57,000*; this includes:

• Program tuition and registration fees
• Lodging and some meals during Launch Week
• Lodging and some meals during the International Trip
• All textbooks and course materials (via digital distribution)
• Access to The University of Texas at Austin resources

Financial Aid

At least two-thirds of all Texas McCombs MSTC students receive some form of financial aid. Domestic and permanent U.S. residents may apply for federal loans by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available January 1 of each year.

There are a number of private loans available for both international and domestic students that are not regulated by the federal government. The terms of these loans vary from lender to lender.

The George Kozmetsky Tuition Waiver

The McCombs School of Business created the George Kozmetsky Memorial tuition waiver specifically for highly experienced, top-of-their-field technology commercialization professionals who have submitted an application to the Texas McCombs MSTC Program. Categories for application are: Entrepreneur, Corporate Innovator and Technology Transfer (specifically for full-time University of Texas employees). The program will offer one waiver per category. The tuition waiver application deadline is January 5, 2021 (our extended Round 2 application deadline).

The George Kozmetsky Tuition waiver, in the amount of $10,000, will be awarded evenly over the 3 Texas McCombs MSTC Program semesters. Award will apply to the academic year of application. Student must remain in good academic standing.

To be considered for this waiver, qualified applicants should send a letter to the Program Director stating (1) How your technology commercialization initiatives would be benefited by earning the McCombs MSTC degree, and (2) how you can contribute to the strengthening the McCombs School of Business brand within the category that you have applied.

Military Benefits

Nearly 30% of MSTC students are veterans or current service members, and many of our military students receive full or partial tuition assistance.
