Overview
Recognize how value is created in your firm. Evaluate opportunities and assess competition based on robust financial analysis to outperform your industry. Work through a systematic approach for analyzing financial statements and evaluate the impact on profitability during this hands-on program. Implement what you have learned in a comprehensive simulation that puts you in charge of every aspect of a hypothetical company’s business.

Finance and Accounting
Examine the processes and practices of accounting and finance to gain a robust understanding of the part you play.
Three-Day Program
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and class runs 8:30 – 4:30 all three days with a one-hour lunch.
Your Location
Spring 2021 classes will be held “live” online and include interactive discussions and activities.

CEUs: Participants earn 2.1 CEUs and/or 21 CPEs for this course. A certificate of completion will be presented from Texas Executive Education.

Faculty
Brian Lendecky
Brian Lendecky is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at The University of Texas at Austin. He joined the department in 2006 and teaches Financial Accounting, Cost and Managerial Accounting, and the Tax Practicum course, the latter winning a 2008 Governor’s Volunteer Award from Governor Perry and a 2011 Tower Award.

Jim Nolen joined the Department of Finance in the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in 1980 and taught graduate and undergraduate classes in corporate finance and entrepreneurship until his retirement in May 2012.
