IAU Madrid – Affiliated Semester Program
Spend the Fall or Spring in Madrid taking business and non-business courses that count toward your degree requirements.
Participants in IAU Madrid program can choose from a variety of interesting and enriching courses in international business, marketing, management, management information systems, finance, history, Spanish, and more. IAU Madrid employs a student affairs and academic affairs staff to advise, place, house, and otherwise support students. Courses are held at IAU's campus, located in the historic center of Madrid where students can take advantage of the vibrant city and everything it has to offer.
Madrid is regarded as an important economic, artistic, and educational center, home to the Spanish Parliament (las Cortes), the Spanish Stock Exchange (la Bolsa), as well as a number of world renowned cultural and historical sites. Students studying in Madrid will have access to a wide variety of activities, including visiting the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Parque del Buen Retiro, to catching a fútbol (or soccer) match at The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, to flamenco dancing, and sampling local cuisines such as tapas, bocadillo de calamares, and churros con chocolate.

ACADEMICS
Learn more about the course options on the IAU website.
- Many of the courses at the site above have been evaluated by by UT faculty here and are in the My Credit Abroad database. If you're interested in an IAU Madrid course that is not in this database, you need to send us the syllabus (in English) and we will have it evaluated.
- Not every course listed in the My Credit Abroad database will be offered during your semester abroad.
- After IAU sends us your transcript after the semester abroad ends, you will work with the BBA office to transfer your courses back to UT. You will receive transfer credit and the credit can count toward your degree requirements. The grades will appear on your UT transcript but will not factor into your UT GPA.

Students in Madrid have the option to be housed in shared homestays or co-living apartments. Students may request roommates on the housing application form and IAU will to its best to accommodate such requests. All IAU housing is within convenient access of public transportation and within an approximately 40-minute commute time to the IAU Madrid Center.
