Advising Information & Helpful Resources
Welcome to the BBA Academic Advising page!
BBA students in the McCombs School of Business are served by the BBA Academic Advising team. CBHP and iMPA students should work directly with their advising teams.
Spring 2025 Registration Advising Support Options
The spring 2025 online course schedule is now available and registration is coming up on November 4-15. Be sure to check your Registration Information Sheet (RIS) for your assigned registration times.
For registration planning support, please see below for all the ways our advising team can help:
- Make an appointment with your advisor: You can access your advisor’s contact information and calendar on Canvas. Look for McCombs BBA Advising. NOTE: as we near registration, some advisors’ calendars will fill up and you may not be able to get an appointment. Below are several other ways you can still get registration support before your registration time!
- Registration Plan Review: Our advising team is happy to review your registration plans for spring 2025 digitally. To request this help:
- Run an Interactive Degree Audit to understand what remaining requirements you have.
- Complete this Registration Planning Form and upload it to UT Box. Our advising team will review it and get back to you with feedback and notes about your plan.
- Drop-In Advising:
Drop-Ins are offered in-person and virtually throughout the semester.
- Click here to view the 2025 drop-in schedule
- To join the virtual Advising drop-in queue, log in to Waitwell.
- To join in-person Advising drop-in queue, come to CBA 2.400.

- BBA Peer Advisors: We also have a team of BBA Peer Advisors who are current McCombs students who can also be a valuable resource to students when planning their schedules. To chat with a Peer Advisor, come to CBA 2.400 Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- BBA Degree Planning Resources: Many helpful planning tools are located on the BBA Degree Planning website. Here you can find degree check sheets, track lists and flow charts for each major.
- Major Specific Emails: The week before registration (week of October 28) every student will receive an email from our office that has specific reminders and updates about their major (including unspecified business). We recommend you review this to help you plan your spring schedule.
