Academic Advising
The Canfield Business Honors Program has dedicated academic advisors who are fluent in university and Canfield BHP resources. In an appointment with an advisor, you'll discuss more than just academic classes: the Canfield BHP advisors want to know you and your goals, struggles, and strengths. Our advisors take an individualized approach to each student's academic plan. They offer scholastic guidance, and they can answer any questions you may have about UT and Canfield BHP.

Stephanie Cantu is excited to return to the Forty Acres after graduating from the Business Honors and Plan II Honors Programs. Stephanie obtained a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and taught marketing and psychology courses at the University of St. Thomas, where she discovered her passion for providing personalized academic support and guidance to students. Her diverse experiences in higher education equip her with the ability to help students navigate their own unique academic and professional paths.
Paul Pritchett holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from The University of Louisiana. Paul worked in Washington D.C. as a consultant for the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency. Paul has a passion for helping students and looks forward to sharing his experiences with current and future Canfield BHP students in the general areas of academic tracks. His experience in banking, consulting and sales offer added value to the student's academic advising experience.
Originally from Round Rock, Texas, Sarah Shields is the Strategic Enrollment and Joint Programs Manager for Canfield BHP. She is passionate about honors education, admissions, and recruitment. Sarah is the academic advisor for Texas CSB students and is excited to welcome the first class in Fall 2019.
She has worked previously for the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (Cockrell School) as their Academic Advising Coordinator and in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Cockrell School) as a Senior Academic Advisor. Sarah completed an undergraduate degree in Art History from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in Higher Education Leadership and Policy from UT Austin.

Career Advising
Canfield BHP has a career coach specifically dedicated to its students. Canfield BHP students often have double-majors inside and/or outside of the business school, so the Canfield BHP career coach is well-versed in a variety of academic interests, career paths, and graduate school options that are available. Your career coach also maintains connections to companies with a specific interest in recruiting Canfield BHP students. Your first semester includes a class taught by the career coach that introduces you to the various business majors and techniques and tips that will help you succeed in college and beyond.
Catherine Campbell is a native Houstonian who has always been a dreamer with a Texas-sized heart. She dreamed of getting a Division I basketball scholarship in the third grade and accomplished that by accepting an offer to play at SMU where she received her corporate communications & public affairs degree in 2010. She traded her basketball shoes for immobile shoes attached to a boat where she rowed and received her master's in Sport Management at Indiana University.
Catherine previously served as a development officer for the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering department at UT Austin. Other positions at the University of Texas included assistant director of donor relations and events for The Longhorn Foundation, development assistant for the T-Association, marketing & sales representative at The Erwin Center and assistant director of marketing at Indiana University.
Catherine firmly believes in higher education and is excited to help the next generation of Longhorns change the world. Catherine’s extensive experience in corporate relations, fundraising development, communications, marketing, project management and events have helped her become a successful driver of ideas, projects, and teams.
Sahil Maherali graduated from UTSA with a degree in Communications in 2018. During his time in undergrad, Sahil completed multiple internships ranging from a marketing agency, in-house marketing at a nonprofit, and in healthcare consulting. After graduating, Sahil moved to Austin to work in a L&D role at Dell where he worked as a team lead across 3 sites helping to centralize and develop their training content for new hire support agents, sales reps, and other rotational programs.
After his time at Dell, Sahil was an Onboarding Consultant at Cision where he worked in Customer Success with top Fortune 500 companies, universities, start-ups, and other organizations. Sahil also served on the First Generation team at Cision and helped start the build of their future campus recruiting program for equitable recruiting.
Outside of work, Sahil volunteers with numerous organizations and holds multiple leadership roles. Sahil is the National Project Manager for the Ismaili Professionals Network where he oversees all professional development programming for college students and recent grads and has scaled a team of 2 to 46 over the course of a year and helped source 185+ opportunities during the pandemic. Sahil is also the National Team Member on the Training Team for Camp Mosaic, a 7 day camp for participants across the US held in 13 cities. Lastly, Sahil volunteers with Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business fraternity, as a Section Director overseeing 4 chapters.
