Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, has been a political, economic, and cultural center of Europe for more than 1,000 years.

Why International Management in Prague?
The “city of a hundred spires” on the Vltava river is also home to a number of famous cultural attractions, colorful baroque buildings, and a charming, well-preserved historic city core. Popular sites include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, the Astronomical Clock and the Lennon Wall. With a growing and diverse population of more than 2.3 million people, an extensive and lively history, and relatively easy and affordable access to the rest of Europe, Prague is, without a doubt, a must-visit European destination. Prague University of Economics and Business (Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze, abbreviated VŠE), founded in 1919, is a leader in the field of management and economics in the Czech Republic. With almost 20,000 students, it is the Czech Republic’s largest university in the fields of economics, business and information technologies. Students will take two courses, MAN 336-Organizational Behavior, taught by VŠE faculty and IB 350S-International Trade and Management, taught by UT faculty.

Visa & Passport Info

Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the study abroad trip.

Texas Global Passport Services can process passport applications.

U.S. passports are taking an exceptionally long time to be processed. If you are even considering a study abroad program and you do not have a passport (or your passport will expire within 6 months of the end of your program), you should apply for one now.

U.S. citizens traveling to Prague will not require a visa to study in the Czech Republic.

Depending on your nationality, you may or may not require a visa.

Visit the Czech Republic Embassy to view requirements for each nationality.

It is the student’s responsibility to research specific requirements for their nationality, and to apply for their visa, if necessary. At the student’s request, we will provide additional program-related documentation to support their visa application, such as an official letter, enrollment status at UT, housing and insurance coverage. Students are also encouraged to request formal documentation of student enrollment status from the UT Registrar’s Office and are required to notify Texas Global of their travel plans.
